Cinthya attended Boise State University and obtained a bachelors degree in Health Science with an emphasis in General Health.
During her university career Cinthya completed an internship at WIC—Women, Infants and Children at the Department of Health, Boise, ID where she focused on coordinating the biannual conference for Idaho WIC employees. She also interned through Boise State’s Services Learning Program at Legacy
Hospice, Boise, ID where she focused on comfort and palliative care for residents.
During summer breaks, Cinthya worked at the Hispanic American Council in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she assisted community members with legal proceedings, acted as an advocate for members with government agencies and the private companies, and networked members to resources within the
private and notforprofit sectors.
Cinthya volunteered with SAGE—Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship, traveling to several locations in Cambodia helping to promote entrepreneurship for under-resourced first peoples.Through this organization, Cinthya learned to create business plans, develop and implement marketing strategies, manage product inventories, and tailor these tools to the visited community.
Cinthya enjoys involvement in the Latino community. She chaired a holiday event, networking with charity groups, media, companies and local officials to raise funds and stage a successful event. She also travels to Latin America connecting to family, community and tradition.
